Kick-off meeting within the MEDIActive Youth project was held in Cairo
Representatives of partner organizations met in Cairo at the first meeting of the project team within the “Transcontinental MEDIActive Youth: Africa on Board” project, which is implemented with the support of the European Union within the Erasmus + Programme.
The partners had the opportunity to get to know each other better and discuss various topics important for project implementation, such as: project management, implementation of project activities, preparation of training course to be held in Belgrade, financial aspects of the project, reporting, project risks, monitoring and evaluation, promotion and dissemination of the project, etc. The meeting was a good basis for further quality project management and successful implementation of upcoming project activities.
The Better World Foundation, a project partner from Egypt, was an excellent host, providing the best possible conditions for productive work.
The overall objective of this two-years project (2022-2024) is to build capacities of youth NGOs globally and to develop open education resources (OER) in the field of media literacy. Particular attention is given here to the African continent, and this project will enable it to also join the transcontinental initiative of improving media literacy launched through the previous projects.
The project consortium consists of 7 youth organizations from Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Estonia, North Macedonia and Serbia.
